Abstract:
Placentae accrete spectrum disorder (PASD), also referred to as abnormally invasive placenta (AIP), is a condition where the placenta does not detach spontaneously after delivery. This occurs because the placenta is implanted into the uterine muscle and other deeper layers. The placenta cannot be removed without causing massive and potentially life-threatening bleeding.
