Opinion- Blindness for the Blind or for Those Who Don’t Want to See?

Abstract: The concept of blindness and its different meanings are part of human history. In a historical context, it is marked by a feeling of rejection, prejudice, and intolerance. The historical bases ranging from the Code of Manu, drawn up in 200 a. C., making inheritance impossible for the blind, to the mystical period of the Middle Ages, where it was considered a disgrace, to the current one, which is based on the dichotomous binomial of science and ignorance, reformulating itself as the “age of inclusion†from the 1990s.
