Abstract:
The aim of the study is to present the current state of knowledge on the rare side effect of 5-fluorouracil, what is neurotoxicity. Knowledge on this subject comes from a few studies, and many of the suggested mechanisms are still hypothesized. Also imaging diagnostics (MRI) or EEG do not provide certain diagnostic guidelines. Also, causal treatment in some patients has not yet been established.
