Abstract:
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative pathology characterized by the formation in the brain of β-amyloid-containing plaques and tau-containing neurofibrillary tangles (NFT). Today, the pharmacological treatments of AD are very limited and novel therapeutic strategies are required. The administration of natural based-products could prevent or alleviate the AD symptoms minimizing side effects. In vivo and ex vivo analysis were carried out on AD mouse model to evaluate the neuroprotective effect of an oral nutraceutical patented technology named SENYDEM®.
