Abstract: Toxoplasmosis is a zoonotic disease transmitted by the protozoan parasite Toxoplasma gondii. The disease is common worldwide due to its ability to infect a wide range of warm-blooded animals including humans. Areas with poor hygiene and infrastructure along with climatic conditions where the parasites tend to exist and most importantly unawareness of the presence of asymptomatic condition has caused a persistent prevalence of infection in women of childbearing age.
