Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to examine the regulation of dissemination of false medical and unreliable health information on social networking services in Japan. The paper provides an overview of the current status of false medical and unreliable health information in relation to Covid-19 and reviews how these are addressed by current legislation in Japan.
