Abstract: Surgical resection of primary malignant bone tumours adjacent to the joint and subsequent intercalary allograft reconstruction of large segmental bone defects can be challenging. We describe our surgical technique and workflow for fast-track patient-specific surgical planning using 3D-technology and local guide and implant production based on a case of a 32-year-old male with an osteosarcoma of the tibia. A virtual surgical plan for resection and reconstruction was made.
