Abstract:
Eating disorders (EDs) impact physical, emotional, and social health. The perinatal period, including pregnancy and the first postpartum year, is high-risk for EDs due to hormonal and psychosocial changes. However, symptom remission can also occur, influenced by hormonal factors, social support, and maternal motivations. This case study examines a woman diagnosed with Bulimia Nervosa (BN) who experienced remission during pregnancy.
