Abstract:
Rampant urbanization and economic development in mainland China over the past thirty years have contributed widespread changes to the physical and social fabric of the country’s historic environment. Despite significant changes, the evaluation of social value and place attachment within heritage and urban design remains in its infancy and has not been examined empirically.
