Abstract: The use of ultrasound in regional blocks is increasingly more frequent. The use of long-acting local anesthetics may cause long-lasting analgesia, depending on the volume of anesthetics and the concentration of the solution. A recent systematic review recommends the use of adjuvants in peripheral nerve blocks. This study evaluated the effects of adding dexmedetomidine to levobupivacaine in supraclavicular brachial plexus block.
