Abstract: Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths. Despite significant advancements in surgical techniques, chemoradiotherapy, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy, the long-term survival rates for lung cancer patients remain low. Consequently, the importance of chemoprevention in lung cancer management can- not be overstated. Notably, the concept of preventive medicine in traditional Chinese medicine bears similarities to modern chemoprevention strategies and serves as a theoretical foundation for lung cancer prevention and treatment within this framework.
