Abstract: The diversity of parasites in Freshwater fish has attracted significant attention from researchers due to its eco- logical and economic implications. This study introduces the first molecular example of Pallisentis ophiocephali (Acanthocephala), a parasite typically found in the garfish Xenentodon cancila, which inhibits the freshwater ecosystems of Bangladesh.
