Abstract: In agriculture of the steppe zone, there are two main trends associated with the underutilization of the resource potential of maize hybrids and the need to expand the use of minimum tillage methods. Due to the relevance of the issue, field studies were conducted in the steppe zone of Ukraine to study different systems of basic till- age on seed germination, soil agrophysical properties, productivity of corn crops, and economic efficiency.
