Abstract:
This article explores and compares the entrepreneurial experiences of women in STEM fields versus those in biotechnology-related ventures. Through a gender and sectoral lens, it analyzes motivations, barriers, and opportunities faced by these two categories of female entrepreneurs. The findings shed light on distinct professional trajectories and the socio-economic factors that shape women’s participation in innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems.
