Problems and methods of efficiency increase in implementation of personnel selection process

Abstract: The main problems that arise in the process of personnel selection during achievement of the task of improving the efficiency of the process in commercial organizations are analyzed in the article. Their elimination contributes in improvement of the quality of the work carried out by the hired staff, the deployment of existing potential, and, as a consequence, increase in competitiveness of organizations. The article explores the specific activities which are aimed at ensuring high quality of personnel selection, the usage of information technologies in the process of selection, and the issues and difficulties encountered in the process of selection. It is proposed to expand the applied evaluation criteria in order to solve them. The authors suggested the usage of mono/poly-criterial indicator for assessing the effectiveness of the methods of personnel selection. It can be applied together with the indicator for the validity in personnel selection. It is recommended to be used in unison with selection methods. On the basis of the fulfilled study the variant of systematization of methods for personnel selections is proposed. The special attention in the article is paid to the need of taking into account the organization corporate competencies which are required by the organization, and it also emphasizes that the business and personal characteristics of a potential employee should be taken into consideration when assessing the complex of his qualities.Â
