Abstract: Clause is devoted to modern aspects of the theory and practice of banking in Azerbaijan. The special attention is given to actual problems of process of modernization of the Azerbaijan bank sector and revealing of opportunities of increase of efficiency of its functioning. In clause the most actual problems which should be solved during modernization of the Azerbaijan bank system are considered.
