Abstract: In recent years, some steps were taken to converge Turkey’s cash management structure with the best international practices. Public payments and collections system was changed, cash flow forecasting and planning capacity was improved and short term borrowing instruments for cash management purposes were introduced. Current state of Turkish cash management is compared with international practices via Value Chain approach and it is found out that Turkish cash management developed from simple to active cash management.
