Abstract: Banking business keeps its importance in an economy since the ancient times. Banking initially was not a reputable business. However, from the beginning of middle of the nineteenth century banking turned into a respectful business. This historical period also indicates the establishment of big investment banks in the united states (us). These investment banks made important contributions in development of the us by financing the big projects via securitizations in financial markets. The aim of this study is to examine the political powers of these big financial institutions.
