Analysis of Competitive Power of Public Enterprises and Example of the Transportation Sector

Abstract:
Competition is reality for today’s business life and intensively seen in every area today. Production systems are changing, new Technologies are being developed, new competitors appearing in almost every sector of business life. So, the basic aim of this study is to explain that the concept of competition considered as specific to the private sector can be applicable for the public sector by dealing with the competitive power of public administration in the transportation sector and examples of practices of competition conditions in the sector. Literature regarding competition and ensuring competitive power was searched in the study and it was concluded that public sector could compete and especially the advantage of sustainable competition in the transportation sector could be achieved by a good clustering system.
