Abstract:
The entrepreneur decides how to use the production factors and makes an innovation so that (s)he has a very important role in the economy. In this study, entrepreneurship is considered as an instrument of economic development; and overall performance of entrepreneurial activities, as well as the changing factors that affect entrepreneurship in Turkey is analyzed. This study emphasi zes that, the population of the country is young, and dynamic; yet Turkey can not benefit from this potential sufficiently. Policy recommendations that aim to increase the share of entrepreneurship in the economy are also presented in the study.
