A Research on Undergraduate Students’ Financial Literacy of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Applied Sciences Departments: Istanbul Arel University Example

Abstract:
Qualified human resources in associate degree, undergraduate and graduate departments in social sciences and financial literacy are the subject of many similar researches and studies and these titles have a critical share in economic development. The study contains the student’s financial literacy’s level in different departments of “(t.r.) istanbul arel university” in economics and administrative and applied sciences and the data obtained by means of survey method and exploratory factor analysis is used for measuring it. As observed in the literature, the students’ financial information knowledge of the related departments and the factors’ interactions such as financial planning and personal banking were seen as low, suggestions like teaching financial literacy as a separate course in universities are highlighted as a conclusion example.
