Abstract: The article deals with the socio-economic aspect of the development of manufacturing industry and light industry of Russia. A system of key indicators has been proposed according to the analysis of installed basic statistics, and their classification and evaluation determine the nature and degree of sustainability of the tendencies of development in light industry and manufacturing sector in Russia.
