ECONOMICAL ASPECTS OF REFUSE INCINERATION TECHNOLOGIES OF NEW GENERATION

Abstract: The paper considers advantages of thermal reclamation of household garbage and industrial refuse under conditions of poorly developed recycling industry in this country. An estimate is given for the long existing refuse incineration; also presented is a technology of high-temperature reclamation of garbage and refuse in melted slag, which was tried on a pilot scale, namely Vanyukov process. The economical assessment was made for the project to build a refuse-incineration plant on the basis of Vanyukov process. The conclusion is that projects of this kind can pay off and even be profitable because of the complex use of the refuse, i.e. also as a raw material source.
