Abstract: This article examines trends in the global automotive market. Particular attention is paid to the positions of the Russian automotive industry. The article describes possible scenarios for automotive industry in Russia. This paper presents a number of problems impeding the innovative development of the automotive industry. The article describes the main advantages of cluster approach, and presents normative documents, which promote the development of clusters in the Russian Federation.
