Abstract: Russia is the third largest producer of cast pig iron, and today ranks as one of the most important pig iron exporters. Tulachermet, OAO is the world’s leading producer of merchant pig iron, although still remains outperformed by some of its competitors in terms of technological innovation. Tulachermet’s mission is to significantly improve its competitiveness by developing cutting edge and cost effective technologies; reengineering and modernizing of blast-furnace plan.
