Abstract: In this article were described the content of conception «modernization» and the main preconditions of the use of innovation technologies in oil and gas complex of Russia. Also there were described the estimation methods of effectiveness of innovations. In capacity of innovations technologies are represent: GTL (by the example of Khanty-Mansijsk Autonomous District – Yugra) and BIMO (by the example of the Novosibirsk Region).
