Abstract:
Franklin D. Roosevelt’s biography and the estimation of his activity on the post of the US president have been submitted in the article as well as the review of the economic situation in the USA before and during the Great Depression.The article considers regulating role of the government, participation of the state in the solution of unemployment problems, rehabilitation of industrial production, increase of purchasing power of the population as a basis of F.D. Roosevelt’s economic policy.The key area of F.D. Roosevelt’s New Deal i.e. the development of the country by means of formation of civil society and its institutes and rise in the standard of living of the population of the country has been noted in the article.
