The need to transition to advanced processing of the cotton production in the Republic of Tajikistan

Abstract: Cotton is known to present the main strategic agriculture. 90% of cotton is exported in non-processed form. It is urgently actual to move to a comprehensive and in-depth processing of the crude cotton This will largely expand the range of the final products and enhance the overall efficiency of cotton production. To implement this scheme following problem have to be sold:– to eliminate the disconnect between cotton producers, processors and government agencies;– to increase the capacity and knitted garment enterprises;– to stimulate the productive work of other branches of the cotton complex it is necessary to decrease the purchase price of cotton;- to develop long-term program of cotton processing within the country at least to the 30–40% level;– to perform the technical modernization of production by attracting investments, especially when creating hydrolysis industry companies.Â
