Efficiency evaluation of information technologies as instrument of enhancement of the organization of educational process

Abstract: Features of development of information systems in education and their role at the present stage are considered. Features of functioning of a network program cover (www.econom.misis.ru) allowing to realize model of the mixed training which is means of storage of information (the database of scientific and educational and methodical materials) and the instrument of computer testing and assessment of knowledge of students that allows to carry out assessment of knowledge of students in various parameters, including on didactic units are considered. The analysis of requirements of modern employers to graduates of higher education is demonstrated that assessment of set of knowledge gained in training process is rather powerful in case of determination of quality of education. It is shown that the generalizing rating assessment of the student calculated in an information system with high degree of reliability is connected with the final characteristic of quality of education as which the GPA of students can be used. Indicators of an efficiency evaluation of information systems in educational institution are offered. It is offered to calculate an integrated performance indicator on the basis of an estimative vector which is created on the basis of a vector of private performance indicators of educational system. Coordinates of an estimative vector are units and zero. Number 1 corresponds to a satisfactory situation, and number 0 – unsatisfactory. For an efficiency evaluation of educational system the actual length of an estimative vector is compared to the standard rate. Objects for the analysis of efficiency of use of the training system by means of a developed integrated indicator can be: the student’s group, a profile, the direction of training. The developed technique allows to estimate as far as results of work of the training system answer the training purpose.
