Development of methodical aspects of the assessment of the innovation potential of the economic system

Abstract: The key factor influencing radical structural changes in the economy is innovation. In this regard, the question arises about the assessment of the ability of industrial enterprises to innovate, i.e. innovation potential, which refers to the totality of resources needed to implement innovation. Innovation potential contains a number of components, depending on the type of economic activity of an economic entity. Based on the analysis of existing methods of assessing the innovative potential of industrial enterprises, most often the assessment is limited to the methodology of expert assessments, which is subjective and does not reflect the real situation. The classification of the components of innovation potential and a set of indicators that assess its state are not sufficiently presented. The article presents a set of indicators for assessing the innovative potential of the enterprise and the classification of enterprises in terms of innovation potential. And in conclusion, the algorithm of the proposed methodology for assessing the innovative potential of the enterprise is presented.
