Abstract: The main methodological problem in evaluating production efficiency and commercialization of high-tech products based on applied scientific organizations is a fair definition of the economic and commercial efficiency of high-tech production. To solve this problem, the article proposes a conceptual model of the mechanism for building the potential of scientific knowledge used for the production of high technology products and a mechanism for assessing the economic and commercial efficiency of high technology production. Thus, the conceptual model is presented in the form of nine stages, the main of which is the assessment of the economic and commercial efficiency of using the potential of scientific knowledge (new technologies for the demand for new products) and the valuation of the potential of scientific knowledge as a businessgenerating asset, based on the benefits they provide . At the same time, for the implementation of the fourth stage of the model, the article developed an assessment methodology that includes calculating the magnitude of the economic effect (profit and profitability) that the manufacturer of innovative products will receive, using the potential of scientific knowledge, as well as the share of the economic effect (profit) that manufacturers of innovative and high-tech products can be attributed to the potential of scientific knowledge.
