Russian Journal of Industrial Economics, 2023, vol. 16, issue 2

Abstract: The issue of developing meso-level innovative ecosystems is so urgent due to the tasks of creating an autonomous independent economic system in the country, working out its own technologies, establishing technological, scientific and industrial independence. The urgency is also confirmed by the results of the analysis of characteristics and indicators of innovative activity of high tech companies. This background as well as evaluation of effectiveness of the government support of innovation, systematization of national and foreign studies devoted to the role of mesoeconomics in economic and technological growth of the regions and the entire state allow to justify the significance of meso-level development of high tech industrial complexes.
