Abstract: In the article is argued that the evolution of strategic planning concept goes well together worldwide technological progress. The author reveals both origins and sources that have great influence on the initiation of strategic planning as a managerial concept and its expansion over the world. The article uncovers the chronological order in that the base terms of strategic planning had been emerged.
