Abstract:
In the first part of the paper: an overview of publications in the field of enterprise knowledge management is given; definitions of signals, data, information and knowledge are provided; various classifications of knowledge are considered, and the structure of the intellectual capital is discussed. Three basic components of intellectual capital are presented: human capital, internal and external organizational capital.
