Abstract: We investigate the specificity of core activities of the organizations and the key factors affecting their financial well-being. The basic structural problems of single-industry towns. We consider the consequences of ineffective economic policy of core institutions. The author has developed proposals to improve the financial condition of mono-towns and town-forming organizations.
