Abstract:
Clusters and cluster policy become an important approach to economic development, its competitiveness improvement and the stimulation of innovative development. Innovation clusters combine the features of scientific, industrial, educational, and industrial clusters. The purpose of the innovations clusters is to develop an effective system of interaction and cooperation of science, education and industry to enhance the competitiveness of cluster members, the region where it is located, and the national economy as a whole. The work presents the key features of innovative regional clusters, define the role of clusters in economic development; the international experience of the implementation of the cluster policy is analyzed as well.
