Abstract: At the present stage of development of economic relations without strategic planning, it is extremely difficult to achieve favorable results from doing business. The article is devoted to the consideration of the theoretical foundations of developing a methodology for the formation of investment policy, which directly affects the result of activity from a strategic perspective. The proposed method will allow a more competent investment policy based on the mathematical calculation of investments in certain areas of activity, taking into account the planned finalresults.Inthe future,itisplanned todevelopa more completemathematical algorithmandpracticalimplementationofthedevelopedmethodatanindustrialenterpriseinorder to develop an assessment of itseffectiveness.
