A. Y. Mikhailishin () and T. N. Mamedov ()

International Trade and Trade Policy, 2026, vol. 12, issue 3

Abstract: The article develops recommendations and proposals for the Russian Federation on attracting foreign investment to implement Eurasian transport projects using digital financial assets in the context of unilateral sanctions and restrictions. The research methodology is based on the use of general and special methods of cognition, analysis of publications of international organizations, regulatory documents and scientific works of Russian and foreign authors. In the context of the transformation of the global economy and the growing demand for sustainable regional supply chains, Russia is faced with the need to create a unified, secure and interoperable digital logistics system, including sovereign digital payment systems. The article examines the potential role of the National Digital Transport and Logistics Platform  of the Russian Federation, which will ensure effective, technological interaction between all participants in the transport and logistics chain and government authorities both in Russia and in the foreign partner countries. The authors propose a comprehensive model – the Digital Investment Ecosystem of the Eurasian Transport Framework, which will attract foreign investments from the BRICS+ countries, including sovereign wealth funds, private and institutional investors, to Eurasian transport projects.Â
