Abstract:
The article tells about the experience of strategic planning in Cherepovets State University. The strategy of the university - is a means of defining the goals and objectives of its development for a specific period of time taking into account the macro - and microeconomic conditions. Strategic planning is a process by which determined the further development of the university on the basis of the set goals. This process is based on systematic analysis of the university activity, assessment of its strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the environment and ends the development of plan of strategic actions. The strategic plan provides the university's guidelines for the perspective, helps to concentrate the efforts on the key moments of development, allows you to make the management of the university more open, ensure efficient use of available resources and sustainable development, etc.
