Abstract:
The article deals with the main features of the higher professional educational system in France. The authors discussed the data about the structure and number of the universities in France and revealed the specificity of the teaching in the different types of the educational organizations. The authors identified the main directions and national distinctive features of the educational system modernization in the context of the Bologna process. The article is also concerned with the problems of the French universities transfer to the autonomy and the problems of the higher educational system quality assessment
