Problems in scientific direction of PH.D. studies

Abstract:
The present article contains an analysis of problems typical for scientific direction of Ph.D. studies. These problems include: financial and career motivation of scientific directors (instead of scientific goals), insufficient understanding of functions that a scientific director must fulfill and lack of competences. Some solutions of these problems are proposed.
