Abstract:
Of the great rivers of the World, the River Nile has undoubtedly played a most significant role in the development of early human civilizations. In more recent times it has excited the imagination of politicians, historians, poets, adventures and explores. The mystery was the source of its regular annual flood and what controlled its volume. That triggered the era of the Discovery of the Sources of the Nile. Hydrologically, however, the Nile is probably the best-known river in the World.
