Abstract:
To study the effect of phosphorus and FYM on yield and yield components of wheat an experiment was conducted at Agronomy Research Farm, The University of Agriculture, Peshawar, during winter 2014-15. The experiment consisted of randomize complete block design having split plot arrangement with four replications. Animal manure (FYM) was applied to main plots while phosphorus (P) was applied in sub plots. Sub plot size of 3 x 2m was used. FYM was applied 15 days before sowing. Phosphorus was applied at the rate of 0, 60, 90 and 120 kg ha-1. During the course of the study, it was found that P and FYM significantly affected spike length, grain per spike, biological yield, thousand grain weight, grain yield and harvest index of wheat.
