Abstract: In agriculture pesticides play an important role to control the pests. The use of organophosphate pesticides has caused serious problems to environment, human health and ecosystem. Thus, monitoring of these pesticides is extremely important. Researchers have been trying to develop biosensors for easy, online and prompt monitoring of organophosphate pesticides. This review is an overview on the biosensors developed for the detection of organophosphate pesticides. It briefly summarizes what has been covered in the previously published reviews as well as highlights the recent developments in the detection of organophosphate pesticides biosensors.
