Abstract: Glycolic acid is used to improve skin aging and in combination with nutraceuticals like vitamins C or E, it may provide synergestic effect for skin protection. Liposome formulation were prepared by film hydration method and studied for different test parameters like zeta potential, particle size, entrapment efficiency and in vitro release studies. The particle size and zeta potential were found to be in range of 200-900 nm and ±14mv to ±29mv. The entrapment efficiency was found to be between 16-76% and in vitro drug release was in controlled manner. Liposome formulation containing vitamins E and C, and cholesterol was found to be most optimum and effective. Hence, Liposomes composed of vitamin E and vitamin C can be used as an alternative to cosmetic applications.
