Abstract: This study examined the influence of social media, self-esteem and emotional instability on socio-emotional adjustment of fresh undergraduates of University of Ibadan. A sample of three hundred students was randomly sampled from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan Oyo state. The study adopted descriptive design of expo-facto type. Data was collected using four reliable instruments (socio-emotional scaleα = .77; social media scaleα =0.67; self-esteem scaleα =0.72; emotional instability scaleα=0.80).
