Abstract: We describe a new syndrome characterized by sensory symptoms, a repeatedly normal neurological examination with hyperintensity of the corticospinal tracts and reduced myelin content of the posterior internal capsule on functional and MR brain and DTI, pathological prolongation of central motor conduction times and a spontaneous improvement of symptoms. We discuss the diagnoses that have been excluded. The aetiology as yet remains undefined.
