Abstract:
Successful control of hospital infections requires appropriate preventive measures that it can be prevented by using the principles of infection control by hospital staff. In this regard, the present study was conducted to determine the compliance rate of infectious and sterilization control standards of limited surgical centers under the supervision of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. This study was a cross-sectional study conducted in eight limited surgical hospitals affiliated with Tehran University of Medical Sciences. In this study, the standards of infection control and sterilization were assessed based on four axis including standard precautions, hand hygiene, disinfection and sterilization of equipment and environmental health. The results of the study showed that the compliance rate of infectious and sterilization control standards in covered surgical centers were 74% in total.
