Abstract: Hallux valgus is the most common deformity and disabling condition of the big toe. It was first mentioned by Carl Hueter in 1870 characterized as a combined deformity with a malpositioning in the first metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint with lateral deviation of the great toe and medial deviation of the first metatarsal bone [1].
