Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome; A Growing Concern for New Mexico

Abstract: In 2012, New Mexico became the 12th state to allow the use of cannabis for medical use. Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) is characterized by recurrent episodes of heavy nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Early identification of patients with CHS will assist in decreasing orders for invasive and expensive medical procedures.
